Measuring What Matters: Energy Access, Climate Resilience, and Economic Empowerment

AVAD Energy

Our Impact Framework

Impact at Avad Energy is measured across three interconnected dimensions: social
transformation (energy access, health, education), economic empowerment (income
growth, job creation, productivity gains), and environmental sustainability (carbon
reduction, fossil fuel displacement, ecosystem protection). We track both quantitative
metrics and qualitative community feedback to understand the full scope of our work.

Projected Impact (2026-2030)
As we transition from operations to full-scale innovation and deployment, our impact targets reflect ambitious but achievable growth:

Our Projected Impact

By End of 2026:

• 100+ households with improved energy access and food security
• 15-20 farmers piloting solar cold storage with documented 40-50% reduction in
post-harvest losses
• 10 local technicians trained, creating green jobs in rural communities
• First peer-reviewed research publication on contextual renewable energy design

By 2027:

• 1,000+ households electrified across 5 Nigerian states • 3 additional products launched (irrigation, water purification, food drying) • 50+ green jobs created through manufacturing and deployment • Estimated 500 tons of CO2 emissions avoided through fossil fuel displacement

By 2030:

• 50,000+ households across West Africa with reliable renewable energy • 500+ direct and indirect green jobs created • Measurable income increases for 10,000+ smallholder farmers through reduced losses and improved productivity • Avad Energy Research Institute established as pan-African knowledge hub • Policy influence on national renewable energy frameworks in 3+ countries

Impact

How We Measure Impact

Qualitative Assessment:

• Community satisfaction surveys and feedback
• Case studies documenting individual farmer/household transformation
• Focus groups assessing quality of life improvements
• Documented stories of economic empowerment and resilience-building

Quantitative Metrics:

• Number of households electrified
• Renewable energy capacity deployed (kW)
• Reduction in post-harvest losses (%)
• Income increase for participating farmers (₦)
• Jobs created (direct and indirect)
• Carbon emissions avoided (tons CO2)
• Diesel fuel displaced (liters)
