Avad Energy was founded in 2022 with a bold vision: to transform how rural Africa accesses clean energy. What started as direct solar installations serving households in Lagos and Abuja evolved into something more ambitious—a research-driven innovation hub developing contextually appropriate renewable energy solutions for Africa's most underserved communities.
Through three years of frontline operations serving 30+ households, we learned a critical truth: communities don't need generic imported products—they need solutions designed specifically for African contexts, income levels, climate conditions, and
maintenance capacities. This insight drove our strategic evolution from product sales to research-based innovation.
In April 2025, we formalized our operations with Corporate Affairs Commission registration, marking our full-time commitment to bridging the gap between renewable energy research and real-world community impact. Today, we're building the knowledge, products, and partnerships needed to power Africa's just energy transition.
